Partnership For Our Kids Golf Tournament: A Huge Success!

More than 150 people played hooky for a good cause on Monday, May 18th. Golf enthusiasts made their way out to Shadow Ridge Country Club to take part in the 1st Annual Partnership For Our Kids Golf Tournament. Presenting sponsors for the tournament included the Burlington Capital Group and America First Investment Advisors. Both Mike Yanney and Dick Holland served as honorary chairmen for the event and news anchor for Channel 6 Live at Daybreak, Jim Siedlecki, acted as the media chairman, and a tournament competitor.

Players competed as foursomes in an 18-hole scramble, hooking, slicing, and birdying to support The Partnership For Our Kids! In addition to a day of friendly competition on the green, players were treated to a picnic lunch, and had the opportunity to try their luck at winning select sports packages in a raffle drawing. The tournament concluded with an evening barbeque and team awards ceremony.

Although every team gave it their best, one group out-shot and out-maneuvered their competitors. With an outstanding team score of 55, the Channel 6 foursome was announced the first place team of the Partnership Tournament. Foursomes from Mutual of Omaha Bank and Seim Johnson Sestak & Quist, LLP also played extremely well and came in a close second and third place with a point spread of only two.
