Phil Jarrett
Recruitment Marketing Specialist

Phil Jarrett serves as a Recruitment Marketing Specialist for the Partnership. Phil’s duties include securing, screening and training volunteer mentors from various businesses and community organizations as well as organizing mentor training opportunities and matching mentors with student groups.

Originally from St. Louis, Phil received a duel degree in Communications and Philosophy & Religion from Missouri’s Truman State University. While studying in that remote corner of the Show-Me-State, Phil worked as a photographer, cameraman, writer, designer and columnist for a number of newspapers, travel magazines, television stations and radio programs, usually focusing on humanitarian issues. When he isn’t training or pairing up mentors with student groups, he writes monthly food reviews for the Omaha Reader and works as a wedding photographer.

Phil enjoys photography, baking, gardening, electronic gizmos, biomedical ethics, home-made sushi, hearing good stories and meaningful work
